Some people say that the internet provides with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with?

It seems a valid argument that people are aimlessly surfing on the internet and they are not getting any benefits from the abundant information available there. However, in my opinion, it is an individual responsibility to choose appropriate content on the internet and internet could be enormously valuable for a person. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following passage. To begin with, internet provides a lot of educational content, which could strengthen our learning on a particular subject matter. There are many online courses on the internet. These resources are really valuable as we don't have to depend only on class lectures to be educated. My own experience is a compelling example of this case. I have always wanted to learn machine learning, but there were no courses available on that subject at my university. About a year ago, when there was a pandemic of COVID, I had leisure time because of the holidays. I took an online course on machine learning on Courseera platform. This was possible only because of the internet. During my holidays, I could have spent my time surfing random videos on the internet. But, I took the option of learning from it. Therefore, I believe that, even if there are lots of distracting things on the internet, one can always get benefits by using internet wisely. Furthermore, internet has been able to link people all over the world, and made it easier to get more jobs and opportunities. We are now able to compete in international market for jobs because of internet. An old friend of mine is a demonstrative example of this case. He was a python programmer. However, he was finding difficulties to find a programming job in my country as there are not many programming jobs available. Being tired of giving interviews at random offices, he then made a Linkedin account on the internet. A month later he was offered by a Australian company for programming job. From this incident, I came to realize the opportunities we can get from the internet. In conclusion, internet has added value to our lives. This is because we can learn beyond our classrooms in online courses and compete for international jobs which have been made possible by the internet.
