Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Would you prefer to take courses taught by professors with whom you have already had other classes during your past years of study, or would you prefer to take courses with professors whose classes you have never taken before? Why?

No one can deny the importance of education to their future prosperity, and one part of good training is the process of detecting a good teacher. There is no shortage of debate among scholars on whether students should take their courses with the professors they already have other classes or take the risk of choosing new ones. As for this writer's opinion, I subscribe to the former idea. I feel this for two reasons, explored in the following essay. To begin with, the education period is very short, and it is impossible to take many risks. To elaborate, taking courses with professors whose classes an individual has never taken before is a risky selection. If the teacher does not have a good method for teaching in the classroom or their knowledge is outdated, the student will lose time and opportunity. My personal experience is a good illustration of this notion. When I was a senior student at the university, two professors taught a similar course. I had taken a course with one of them who was new in the faculty, as I was into experiencing new things at that time. I felt remorse at the end of the semester because the professor had no previous experience teaching that course, so he could not teach that subject properly. Besides, I have not had another chance to take this course again. Furthermore, taking many courses with the same teacher is a method of binding a strong relationship with renowned professors. To put it more vividly, some university teachers are highly knowledgeable and can help in various ways. For example, they can advise about the courses, which are significantly useful for future jobs or write a good recommendation letter for an introduction to a high-tech company. Although these people can drastically help students, it is hard for most students to have a good relationship with professors. Taking many courses with a professor could facilitate this process. In sum, with all this taken into account, taking many courses with a professor is highly recommended. It is because not only should the students take many risks during their university period, but they also create friendly relationships with some professors.
