Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Governments should spend more money in support of arts than in support of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Some people claim that art resembles the culture of country and also explains the various details about the types of art to the world. However, I disagree with this for the following two reasons. First of all, sports can be representing countries in higher levels of competitions like the Olympics. Moreover, the pride of the country will be at its peak and more recognition will be obtained for the country with sponsors of international brands. Due to this, the country's GDP will be increasing. For Example, lately, an athletic team from India has bagged many medals in all the events they have participated in in the Olympics and the coach has been honored with a national award for the best training. In addition, there were numerous international brands, that came forward to sponsor the players with training kits and other sport-related accessories, which help to gain a quality asset for upcoming games. Second of all, it will be easier for the Olympic teams to conduct selections across the country to pick better players around and provide quality training to the players in the team and also provide nutritious diets to the players. For example, My closest friend who has been situated in a rural area has been selected for the Indian super league from my state with the help of a selection camp conducted by the government. Now, he going through vigorous training which is helping him to improve his gameplay, team spirit, and his body strength with the help of diet. Upcoming Olympics, he is representing India as the captain of the Indian Football team. In conclusion, I firmly believe that it is important for the government to provide money to support athletics because it will make our country pride go up and more international connections happen and they can find many unknown players with great talent by conducting camps across the country.
