Influence of human beings on the world's ecosystem is leading to the extinction of species and loss of bio-diversity. What are the primary causes of loss of bio-diversity? What solutions can you suggest?
It is a highly controversial issue that the life and death of plants and animals have been affected by humans whose footsteps have put the whole ecosystem in peril. As far as I am concerned, there are three main causes to be factored in the gradual reduction of the diversity of living creatures which will be set forth as follows. First and foremost, scientists subscribe to the view that climate change due to global warming, made mainly by greenhouse gas emissions, is an undeniable problem threatening animal habitats and vegetation, causing catastrophic destruction and irreversible damage. In order to take immediate action, the replacement of natural energies namely solar energy and wind energy instead of burning fossil fuels is the most appropriate last resort. Secondly, the environmentalists make a valid point when they argue that at the cost of extravagant dispensable fashion like crocodile-skin-covered purses, and also surreal thoughts of rich nutrition such as luxurious shark fin soup as a folk medicine, a high amount of hunting and poaching of animals takes place which has disrupted the balance of wildlife’s ecosystem. Regarding this issue, governments are required not only to take preventative measures to make rules concerning the protection of endangered species and natural areas but also to lay the groundwork for substitutional strategies to promote worldwide awareness of the consequences of such ecological degradation. Last but not least, excessive exploitation of plants and animals is a crucial element of the environmental disaster which gives rise to the devastation of bio-diversity. To tackle this problem, researchers have come up with a viable effective solution to decrease the uneconomical consumption of food and clothing used up by people around the world, and increasing the use of alternative productions including lab-made meats and vitamins for nourishment, synthetic fabrics for garments, and recycled outputs for various types of usages as well. In conclusion, human beings have created a wide range of problems for many flora and fauna which are on the verge of annihilation because of some reasons mentioned above. The bottom line is that if people keep acting like this, sooner or later, they will suffer from the ripple effect that they have made and should eventually pay the price. Thus, it is about time to stop adopting a well-intentioned and wait-and-see attitude, and only by taking a giant step as a change-over movement will the planet, earth, be saved. So, it has to be done before it is too late.
