Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Playing computer games is a waste of time. Children should not be allowed to play them. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

The significance of video games among modern children can not be disregarded. Controversy exists over whether playing this type of game is useful for children or not. From my vantage point, there are not enough reasons in order to prohibit video games for children because not only can children consider informative computer games as a productive hobby, but also purchasing them can help the computer game development industry to improve. To begin with, instructive video games can regard as a source of precious information for children. That is to say, computer games can act as virtual teachers for children and teach them valuable information. My personal experience is a compelling illustration of this. When I was young, I played video games a lot—especially soccer games. I gained lots of valuable information and knowledge about soccer, such as getting familiar with various tactics, knowing numerous players with their major skills, knowing the various rules in soccer, etc. Therefore, I could feel my distinguished ability to play actual soccer compared to most of my friends. This means I can not obtain these data and sets of skills without allocating time to play soccer video games. Second, we all know that most video game players are children and youths, and disallowing playing computer games for them can lead to serious problems in the video game development industry. In other words, if we consider playing video games as a vain activity for children and youths, there is no encouragement for a software specialist to make video games. Hence, demand for software development and programming specialists, which is a key major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science fields, potentially declines over time, and the computer industry may face many troubles. In a nutshell, I firmly believe that playing video games should not be prohibited for children because of the instructive intrinsic which their informative ones have. In addition, this forbidding can have disadvantageous aspects for computer-related industries.
