Some people like to travel with a companion. Other people prefer to travel alone. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

Traveling is one of the most popular hobbies. When you visit different sights and cultures, you become more open-minded and see things from another perspective. Some people prefer to travel alone, others with their peer. In my case, I love to visit countries with my friends or family as sharing your happiness with others makes your adventure more pleasurable. First of all, when I travel somewhere first question is if it is a safe country. When you have companion, you feel more protected then when you are a solo traveler. For instance, when I visit another country, I do not buy a phone card right away; therefore, most of the time I can not call someone if needed. Also, it might be a case that the police are corrupt or they do not have a suitable healthcare system. Secondly, some psychological studies conclude that people are happier after some activity if they have shared it with someone. I think same if true about a traveling. For instance, when I eat a traditional meal and share it with my friend, it tastes better then sitting alone in a café. When I explore new sites and beautiful views, they seem more appealing. Thirdly, when you travel with someone, you feel more connected to them and might gain a friend for a life. I loved seeing Helsinki, Tallin and Stockholm with my friend, and we became closer than ever as we had adventures together and looking back to it makes us feel very connected. During solo travel, all I have for memories are pictures, which cannot talk. In conclusion, traveling with a companion is much more desirable for me due to the safety reasons as I might be scared to visit some countries alone. Furthermore, sharing travel experiences with a friend makes me happier and it’s is a great opportunity for bonding
