Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more enjoyable to have a job where you work only three days a week for long hours than to have a job where you work five days a week for shorter hours.
In today's world, a significant part of everyone's life is spent in their working time. People must have an excellent time while working. There is no shortage of debate among scholars on whether have a three-day worktime for long hours or have a five-day worktime with shorter daytime work. As for this writer's opinion, I subscribe to the latter idea. I feel this for two reasons, which I will explore in the following. To begin with, life's quality for an individual is a matter of importance, and working time dramatically influences it. To elaborate, a significant portion of everybody's life span is elapsed during work, so our work affairs affect our sentiments significantly. However, when a person works only three days a week, they cannot do their tasks according to the deadline and should work overtime. Therefore, they should work overtime, such as twelve hours a day, which leads to a marked sense of exhaustion in the long run. In addition, in this situation, the managers are grumbling because the tasks are not done according to their expectations. Therefore, people do not enjoy their life, and their life quality will decreases. Furthermore, individual progress in their occupation will decline when they work three days a week. More specifically, some people in every company work five days a week, and the chiefs are very satisfied with them. Hence, when the company would like to give a bonus payment or promotion, these people are at the top of the list. The setbacks in working life are the source of depression, and the employees are not enjoyable in this situation. In sum, with all this taken into account, I firmly believe that working five days a week for a shorter time is preferable. This is because not only does an individual lot increase, but also the promotion in the job is achievable.
