Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? When doing research, it is better to use printed materials such as books and articles than it is to use the Internet. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Research is a crucial process for many parts of our life. People research in their daily life, at work, in very different activities using both the internet and paper materials, which are thought to be better for it. In my opinion, I can’t support the idea of material content supremacy over the internet. There are several points that my position leaning on. In the beginning, the real material has its own volume and mass. In the case of a little, brief research, the given factor is insufficient, but if it goes to the vast research with the lots of data needed, the amount of books and paper might have a matter. Such goods like books, journals, papers, articles, have to be stored in special places with the right conditions and employers to take care of. The perfect example for this is my work at the engineering company where I had to do a benchmarking to collect the needed information. The amount of internet books revised was more than 50 regarding the same topic. Such a significant amount of paper material had no possible space in our office to be stored in. Another fact to consider, is that the digital resources allow better and more practical ways of finding the appropriate information. Rarely people use all the texts provided in books and papers for their research. Moreover, it takes a considerable amount of time to check out the whole material to find the data, especially when there is lots of material. Using the internet, it’s easier to perform the categorized, relevant search with the keywords and the detailed description of the specification. Many platforms for research have advanced tools in order to help the researcher find the right information. Again, at my job I used only a few resources to conduct the findings in a short amount of time with the use of the filters and the keywords. The last point is that the internet allows better discussion, rating and, therefore, dropping out the irrelevant or weak information. Such possibilities may significantly increase the quality of research in a short time. Moreover, the controversial ideas and points may be rapidly discussed with a worldwide community. Consequently, I assert that although it’s crucial to keep the information in material presence, the internet nowadays provides the brilliant process and results for researching with a little knowledge of the way how it’s constructed.
