Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? “When people succeed, it is entirely because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with their success.” Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.

The topic I am about to discuss is whether hard work is all it matters and the effectiveness of luck. I think that hard work is mandatory to be successful but I can’t deny that luck has a big role in this success, that’s why I disagree with the sentence. I think that the sentence is not fully accurate because of two main reasons. To begin with, the first reason is there are a lot of people who is very dedicated to what they love and they fail to achieve their goal, in the other hand there are others who don’t match the level of detection but they succeed easily with the help of luck, for example in my last two years in university I worked very hard in specific field which was artificial intelligence which motivated me to gain a massive knowledge from a lot of online courses, then I applied this knowledge in many projects included my graduation project which gained excellent grade. After graduation I expected to work in this field but I couldn’t find a suitable vacancy and then good fortune toke its role as I found another vacancy in a company that I was a summer intern in, this vacancy was suitable as the old strict manger left so the team leader hired me easily and it was a perfect time to know they are hiring. Secondly, some opportunities don’t show up always to all people, so no matter you searched for them you may not find them, for example I know a friend who applied on various scholarships and got many rejections had a friend who knew a new professor in his university who wanted to build a new sector and search for an entire new field in this university, so the professor needed new talents to help her in the new projects, therefore my friend got a referral and got accepted for a scholarship he didn’t intend to apply in. To sum up the essay, all I say is that the same hardworking person may not be accepted in an opportunity although he tried very hard and may get accepted in another because of luck.
