technology has made communication easier. Some people prefer to communicate through call and some through text. Which method do you prefer and why? State reasons and examples.
No one can deny that improvisations in technology have led to many breakthroughs in mass media communication, and this has brought people together, and the world has become a global village. I prefer to communicate over a telephone call. There are two reasons for this, which I will explore in the subsequent paragraphs.
Firstly, it is more convenient to talk with someone on calls, and there are fewer chances of misunderstandings, whereas, in the case of chatting, there is a possibility that a person may interpret the messages in a way that was not intended. My opinion is profoundly influenced by my own experience. Recently, I had to take a holiday from my high school; I was feeling feverish. When I texted my best friend to ask about the work teachers might have given, he told me about an English assignment. We were supposed to read a chapter from a book and then write an essay about any topic from that particular chapter but, I misunderstood the assignment, and wrote down an essay from some other chapter. As a result, I had to face repercussions. If I had talked to my friend on phone about the task, I might not have lost the marks.
Secondly, a telephonic call is the medium of conversation, which does not require an internet connection, and it is the best way to reach out for help in case of any emergencies. Drawing an example from my own experience, a few days back, I was at my grandparent's home when I received a call from an unknown number. The person on call told me that my father had met with an accident and was admitted to the city hospital. In no time, I reached there and completed all the formalities required before his operation. If someone had tried to text me to tell me about the situation, I would not have received that, as there was no internet connection around me.
All in all, I would like to communicate through phone calls rather than messages. This is because, it allows a crystal-clear conversation, and it is the most helpful way to talk to family members in case of some mishappening.
