Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
It is critically important that students should have a thorough knowledge of all the subjects. Personally, I believe that science and maths lectures hold similar priorities as social-studies classes. I feel this for two reasons, which I will elaborate in the subsequent paragraphs.
First, recent technologies and pieces of evidence can be understood only by studying the environmental science topic in depth. Scientists carry out various experiments in order to come to a result. As science is constantly evolving, new theories get accepted. Hence, this will provide an opportunity for the students to upgrade their knowledge. For instance, when I was in 5th grade I was curious enough to know how the fruits from the trees fall downward. Furthermore, when my science teacher taught me newton's 2nd law of motion, my concept of gravitational force was pretty clear. This example clearly demonstrates how essential it is to comprehend facts, theories, forces, and experiments that are related to this particular subject.
Secondly, studying mathematics is extremely essential to deal with daily life. The calculation is an important skill that students should learn from a very young age. Drawing my own experience, when I was in 7th grade my mom asked me to bring groceries while returning from my school. This brought me nervousness as I never dealt with money. Surprisingly, I was able to give accurate money to the owner of the market. After coming home, my mom appreciated my maths teacher because of whom I was able to learn the process of buying things.
In conclusion, I strongly believed that schools should not neglect science and maths. This is because this field will provide practical knowledge which can be really beneficial to the students in the real world.
