Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship between people. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Truth is one of the most important virtues that human beings value and crave, for it not only enhance people's relationship, but even makes the whole world a new face. However, as for always telling the truth in any relationship, I hold a conservative opinion. The reasons are as follows.
On the one hand, it is an exaggeration to say that everyone must always tell the truth under any circumstance. If the result of telling the truth is not great, telling white lies is also a good choice for many of us. For example, if your best friend needs a comfort because of a failure of an examination, you had better calm him down by telling him that he will make it next time. Otherwise, if you insist on telling something true yet kind of hurtful, in some cases, your friend will be still very upset and fell helpless. Therefore, somtimes we need not tell the truth abruptly and let others down, and it is a good choice to tell some white lies.
On the other hand, it is not a good idea to always tell the truth to a stange person, which is perilous in most cases. First of all, telling the truth only pertain to those who you know and get along very well. Our friends and family would understand us, but it is different when it comes to strange people. If we tell the truth to strange people maorande, they probably don't realize it or even become mad at us. It is kind of awkard and upset. What is more, strange people may also mean peril, we are not supposed to open our mind to those who might do harm with us.
To sum up, telling the truth is not the most important consideration in any relationship between people. Although we are all avid for a better relationship and the truth is crucial to us, it is not appropriate to always tell the truth or at least we could make it a little lighter and more acceptable so that our relationship could be better.
