Your local government has just recently received a large donation from an anonymous donor to improve the community. Almost everyone agrees that the money should be invested in building a new public facility. Which of the following do you think your local government should build? - Build a public library - Build a public park - Build a public pool

Public facilites are very helpful to the community. Whatever the type of facility it is, it always remains helpful to us. In my case, I prefer to vote for building a public library. Reasons for my preference are explained below. Starting off with the library's contribution to education. It is obivous that people of all ages stay in a community. Young kids can improve their knowledge by getting books from the library. Older people can get novels to spend their free time. Also, having a public library right within the community area makes it easy to access , because otherwise people may have to travel far distances to get to the library. For example, I am an avid book reader and I frequently purchase novels and story books. Everytime I need a book, I need to go out into the city or purchase it online and wait for a few days for it to arrive. But, if I had access to a public library, I can go there and rent whatever book I want and it saves a lot of time and money because I wouldn't have to purchase it. Also, if there are aged people in the community, they cannot always go out to get books. Having a public library will really help the community. Coming to the option of building a public park or pool, it may be fun for someone but not for all. For instance, if the number of kids in the community is low compared to people of other ages, the park would not be a suitable and worthy option for all. People of all ages can read books -the library would help- but all of them would not want to go to parks. The pool is also a good recreational facility, but not everyone may know swimming. If there are people who can not swim, then it is a disadvantage to them. While, as mentioned earlier, library can be accessed and can be used by people of all ages. As a conclusion, I suggest that my community build a public library because it provides a facility that is of us to almost everyone in the community.
