Some students prefer to study alone. Others prefer to study with a group of students. Which do you prefer ? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

There has been a long-term debate on the topic of whether students should study alone or in a group. In my opinion, I firmly believe that we, as students should always study alone rather than in a group and I have two main reasons to support my choice, which I will explain in the following paragraphs. Firstly, group study leads to a lot of concentration problems. It is good for those students, who even after being in a large group can focus on their own studies. While studying with other students, there can be many distractions that can spoil the mood of studying and it will be difficult to concentrate. This will in turn lead to poor results and students will get frustrated. For example, I can say from my personal experience that I tried studying in a group before my plus two examinations, but the other people there were not as much serious and dedicated to studying as me, which made it difficult for me to concentrate. They were much more interested in gossiping and watching movies rather than studying. Secondly, while studying in a group, all students are not at the same level. Some may have completed the syllabus long before, while others are just starting it. Also, a topic can be difficult for some students, while for others it can be a cakewalk. Thus, it will be difficult to provide one is to one care to all the students in a group and while some may benefit from it, others may lag behind. For instance, in class 10 I studied Biology in group tuition but couldn't benefit much. There were some students, who used to tell all the answers even before the teacher started a chapter. As a result of which sir just casually went through the topics, without going much deep into them and there was a gap in my overall understanding of the subject which was reflected in my grades. In conclusion, I strongly believe that to gain knowledge and have a proper education, we should more focus on self-study rather than studying in a group.
