Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer
There has been a long-term debate on the topic of whether people should be living in big cities or in villages. In my opinion, I firmly believe that one should always live in a big city rather than a small village and I feel this way for two main reasons, which I will explain in the following paragraphs.
Firstly, living in a big city provides one with all the up-to-date commodities, the medical facilities being one of them. In small towns and villages, medical science is not much developed and hospitals lack modern equipment and facilities for treatment. Medical centers in villages do not have doctors available all the time, since many of them don't want to get posted there, away from their friends and families. For example, in case of an emergency villagers have to rush to the nearby city hospitals for treatment and critical care units because they often don't get the required facilities in their locality.
Secondly, the next most important commodity for living is academics. Though nowadays villages have schools to provide free education, they are not on par with the educational institutions of the metropolitan cities and hence children in villages lack proper education. For instance, studies have shown that a student from a city school is much more smart, updated, and enriched with knowledge as compared to one from a small school in a nearby village. Furthermore, in this competitive world, one should always have good communication skills and a grasp of the English language for getting a high-paid job, and for this proper training in a city school is necessary.
In conclusion, though in recent times, city life is affected by pollution, even after that I strongly recommend living in a big city rather than a small town to enjoy all the modern facilities and get a better-upgraded life
