Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to truly relax and reduce stress is to spend time alone. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

No one can deny that there are both positive and negative aspects of being alone for relaxing. If I were forced to choose, I would definitely state my agreement that being alone is the best way of reducing stress. I will develop my ideas in the subsequent paragraphs. To begin with, It is my firm belief that being on my own for some hours could help me think deeply and in a truly relaxing way. In my opinion, spending time alone provides free and silent time for focusing and thinking deeply. I have to admit that my opinion on this matter has been profoundly influenced by my own personal experience. Last year I was in a stressful situation about making an important decision for my future. First, I tried to distract myself by going out with my friends or asking them for advice, and this decision made the situation even harder for me. So after that, according to my therapist's advice, I went on a vacation on my own and used to write my feeling to reduce my stress. Secondly, I imply that in my alone time, I could do what I prefer to do for stress reduction. It is obvious that every human being knows what kinds of activity provide them relaxation. So by being on my own, I can definitely choose the best activity for relieving my stress. Based on research, some scholars studied two groups of people who were in complex situations. The first group did not have any free time on their own and held in busy houses with other people during that hard time. But the second group had to be alone for several hours. The results of psychological studies point out that the second group's relaxation rates are far better and show that they faced less stress and they were much happier than the first group. In conclusion, I strongly believe that the best way to relax and reduce stress is to spend time alone because I can think deeply and do what I prefer for my relaxation in these times.
