Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? After completing high school, students should take at least a year off to work or travel before they begin studying at a university. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Nowadays, most people are educated and have university degrees. The best time to start stuyding at university after high school is a controversial subject. Some people believe that students should begin studying at university immediately after graduation from high school. However,in my opinion, it is better for students to take years off to work or travel. I feel this way for two reasons which I will explore in what follows. To begin with, by traveling and working, students can decide better about their field of study at a university. To state it more clearly, by working or traveling, they will meet new people and experience new things which will help them to make better decisions. For instance, after graduation from high school, my brother worked in a shopping store for two years and he met new people with different jobs there; these people guided him a lot in choosing his future major and answered his questions. So he decide on his major with a lot of information that he got from those people. Moreover, students can save money by working. In other words, studying in some universities is expensive ,and some parents cannot afford it. So, students can work in order to save money instead of giving up their dream. Take my uncle as an example, He wanted to be a dentist, but his family could not support him. So he worked hard and saved his money. After four years, he was able to study at his favorite university. Now, he is one of the uccessful dentists in our town. He would not have been able to study in his favorite field, if he had started university after completing high school. To conclude, students should take off at least a year before beginning at a university. This is because they can choose their major much better because of getting more experiences and meeting new people; Also, they can work to save money for studying at their favorite universities.
