Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Nowadays, it is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a large city. Use specific reasons and examples to develop your essay.

Childhood shapes the personality of any person. Some people believe that growing up in a big city is better for a child because of the variety of opportunities they get in big cities. I strongly believe that small towns are much better places for childhood than big cities. In this essay, I will provide two reasons to support my stance, backed by some personal experiences. To begin with, childhood in small cities is more peaceful and organic. In big cities children have so many opportunities, they can learn many things apart from studies like they can attend dance class, singing class, etc., which help in their personal growth. In my view having too many options at such a young age are also not a good thing; it stops you from exploring the inner self; without exploring yourself, you can’t find what you like to do the most. From my personal experiences, in my childhood I wanted to become a cricketer, but there was no facility available for training, so I had to travel for about 5 km daily to attend the training camp. This drawback made me more focused on my training classes and eliminated any non-seriousness I had. Children of small towns have to think thousand times about doing things apart from studies, so they choose to do things they like the most and avoid doing things half-heartedly. Secondly, children from small towns are more attached to nature. The climate of the countryside is always better than in big cities. Children of small towns spend most of their time in nature and are rarely surrounded by big buildings and heavy traffic; hence they are calmer and more relaxed. From my experience, once I got a chance to visit Delhi, people there were aggressive, and the traffic was messed up. When I visited there, I learned the concept of road rage; people are fighting on the road for small things and are not patient. These messy things also impact mental health badly, on the other hand, on the other hand Life in small cities is so peaceful and calming. In conclusion, I strongly believe that spending childhood in the countryside is way better than in big cities because it helps you explore your inner self and makes you more patient and mature.
