Some parents offer their school-age children money for each high grade (mark) they get in school. Do you think this is a good idea? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Do Agree or Disagree?
Money has become a valuable asset in this contemporary world. Every people living on this earth run after money for their own purpose. Some believe that parents should reward their children with money if they obtain a good grade in their school. In my opinion, I am completely in accord with this idea. This monograph explains my reasons to support this statement with credible examples.
To commence, rewarding children with money on their academic performance can be a source of motivation for them. To explain this further, children always expect something in return if they succeed. Rewarding with money encourages them to be more hardworking in the future. School-age children will be more confident and enthusiastic on study, as they receive money as a prize. This will improve their academic performance. I want to include my nephew example to explain this, I always reward my nephew with money when he got a good grade on his school, which inspire him greatly because he passed his high school top grade. Therefore, I think money can be a source of inspiration and motivation for the young child which probably leads to better academic performance.
In addition, money receive as a reward can be spent on something valuable which supports their academics. To be more specific, school-age children can spend such money purchasing on stationary materials such as pencils, copies, and learning valuable art which directly or indirectly assist their study. In other word, having enough resources encourage children to do better in school. Moreover, these materials also increase their level of creativity and imagination which is crucial for obtaining good grade on school. For example, many children want to fulfill their inner desire of learning art such as drawing, painting and music if they receive money, such money can be allocated on such stems which enhance their mental thinking. Obviously, a monetary gift to children provides several support to them to make their academic strong and provide competitive advantage in the upcoming future.
In conclusion, offering money to the school-age children based on their obtained grade persuade children to do better in the future and proper allocation of such money may enhance their cognitive level.
