Some parents forbid young children from owning smart phones (cell phones with Internet access), while others disagree and believe that they are important tools for keeping in touch. Which point of view do you think is better, and why?

In my opinion, I agree with the parents who are supporting smartphones as important tools and also with those of parents who are forbidding their children from owning a smartphone. In the current generation, smartphones are playing an important role in each and every aspect of our life. Using smartphones, we are able to do everything from our hands. When it comes to children it is very important that they own a smartphone because they should be in update with the ongoing reforms and advancements in every field which is known through many social media apps and news articles that children can access through smartphones. At the same time, it is very important that children should use them for a good cause. As we can see in the current society, few children are getting addicted to smartphones for playing games, getting attracted to social media more than necessary. And also, we have seen some news like a few children who got addicted to games like PUBG are killing people in real life. It all depends on that particular child and the way he is using his resources. The main responsibility here should be taken by parents and they should guide their children about the advantages and disadvantages of smartphones and create awareness in them. Even after explaining all these things to them, parents should always keep an eye on their children and how they are utilizing their smartphones. As children are very young, they get attracted to things very easily whether it may be a good thing or a bad thing. That's the reason, parents are the primary people who should take responsibility and keep an eye on their children. Also, at the educational institutions, they are studying, the management should create awareness about smartphones among their students. I conclude that young children should own smartphones with limited resources and also a parents monitoring them frequently.
