Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Would you prefer to take courses taught by professors with whom you have already had other classes during your past years of study, or would you prefer to take courses with professors whose classes you have never taken before? Why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

No one can deny that there are both positive and negative aspects of taking the courses taught by professors you are familiar with or by professors that barely met before. If I were forced to choose, I would definitely prefer to take the courses with professors that I already know very well. It is my firm belief that studying with the instructors I am familiar with can benefit me in several ways, and I will develop these ideas in the subsequent paragraphs. To begin with, it has less chance to go wrong taking the courses with the professors that have taught me before. Since I have taken his or her classes in the past, I would be familiar with his teaching style and assignment distributions. Otherwise, if I go for the new professors, I may find it difficult to follow or have a hard time understanding their words. I have to admit that my opinion on this matter has been profoundly influenced by my own experience. When I was a junior majoring in physics, I was super interested in string theory which claims itself as the ultimate theory to explain everything. In order to pursue this holy dream, I have to take the premium course in quantum mechanics. Because there were no other choices, I take the quantum course without investigating the instructor and it went into a nightmare. He was so obsessed with math that he completely ignored the physics concept. As a result, I learned nothing after his class. For this reason, I think it is critical to know your professor before registering for any courses. Secondly, being familiar with the professor that I am about to take courses makes my life easier. That is because whenever I ask a specific question about the new course, he will answer my question more smoothly since he understands my previous knowledge level. Drawing from my own experience, I had such a good time learning and discussing the courses taught by a professor I really like. Moreover, not only did he help me tackle my problems, but also he inspires me to think independently and pursue my academic dream afterward. It is certainly clear to see why choosing the courses with the professors you know about helps you to learn and improve yourself. In light of the above-mentioned reasons, I strongly believe that taking the lectures taught by the professors whose classes I have taken earlier is a better choice.
