Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on their school studies, Other believe that young children should spend most of their time playing, Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

Although many people might have a different opinion about this topic, I personally believe that we should not allow children to start their academic education at an early age. This will eventually have a bad impact on their overall life in many aspects. Furthermore, I will bring three reasons and examples to elaborate on this subject. Firstly, I think we all can agree that children learn communication skills at a very young age. And by "young", I mean around four to five years old. At this age, they understand how to convey their messages to their pals by experimenting and making mistakes. For instance, When they play with each other, they understand how to respect, help, and overall, maintain a healthy relationship with their friends. If they fail to learn these skills at this particular age, studies suggest It is likely that they will develop social anxieties and other problems concerning social behaviors. Second, starting school at a time they are not prime to enter society yet, will have consequences that are often unfixable. For example, my sister sent her son to attend a special pre-schooling program that required the participants to be at most 5 years old. By the time he was seventeen, he lost motivation and gave up his academic path. No one, even his mother, was able to talk him back to his studies. He just didn't have enough incite because he started schooling at the time when he should've actually had fun experiences. And he decided that enough is enough. Lastly, psychologists often point out that playing actually has a very tangible influence on shaping kids' interests. For example, some children like to build towers with "Legos", while some others play with toy medical equipment. In my case, I used to have a magnifier lens when I was five years old and I spent most of my time in our garden looking at insects and worms. I ended up becoming a biologist. Although this theory is controversial, it cannot be completely disputed. In conclusion, I don't think it is a good idea to send toddlers to school when they are not yet ready to adapt to such a disciplined atmosphere. At this age, they should play, have fun, explore their surroundings and shape their interests in the way they desire.
