Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to live in one town or city all your life than to move from one place to another. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
The place one lives in affects the person's lifestyle. Most people like to live in one town for the rest of their life. I disagree with the statement that it is better to live in one city all your life rather than move from one place to another. I believe this for two reasons which we will explore in this essay.
Firstly, moving from place to place challenges one to grow. As living in a different city pushes one out of comfort zone and most of the growth happens when we are out of our comfort zone. Moreover, it helps us to identify our own potential. For example, after graduation, I had to move out of the house for a job. This challenged me in various ways, but it helped me grow. I learned about different cultures and interacted with the locals. Gained a different perspective on life. Each city has its own story which its people say. If I had lived in my hometown then I would not have experienced this.
Secondly, we get to explore many cities as locals. This experience can broaden our perspective of life and make us accept more cultures. We see people who are different from us in culture. Moving from city to city has expanded our acceptance level and we don't see other people as foreigners. This is best demonstrated by my personal experience. I went to study abroad. There were people from various countries. Since I have already interacted with people from different nationalities they didn't seem like foreigners to me. Though I was in foreign land. I had become more accepting of other cultures and tried to understand the differences. If I had lived in the same city my entire life, I would found it difficult to interact with people who are from different countries or cultures.
To conclude, I believe that it is better to live in different cities throughout one's life. As this challenges to grow and this gives us opportunity to explore different cities as locals which expands our perspective of life.
