Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? One of the best ways that parents can help their teenage children prepare for adult life is to encourage them to take a part-time job. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
The process to prepare for adult life can vary. Some parents encourage their kids to take a part-time job, while others do not appreciate this idea. I definitely believe that taking a first job is one of the best ways to help teenage children prepare for adulthood. To support this opinion let's dive into a few reasons.
First and foremost, adulthood is far often related to money. Although it is the obvious fact, because you can not live in the world without money, children do not know how to make for a living. it should be stated, that the first job will help them understand that. Actually, it would be a step toward for a younger generation. For instance, when I finished high school, I started to work as an IT specialist. However, it was not a 9 to 5 job, I managed to understand a lot of processes and the way that money is made though.
Secondly, teenagers usually do not realize the importance of time. Moreover, they can play computer games, or browse the nternet probably all day long. The first job may help them understand that time is the most important resource in their lives. For example, the same situation happened to my little brother John. When he was 18 years old, our parents decided to encourage him to take a part-time job. Actually, John found one, and that helped him a lot. Thankfully to a new role in society, John started to appreciate the free time and money he earned.
In conclusion, encouraging to take a first part-time job is the best way that parents can help their children. Teenagers become more responsible, can correctly value time spent, and know how money appears in the wallet.
