Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
There are plenty of conflicts on deciding between keeping old friends and making new ones. In my opinion, I do not agree with keeping the old fellows instead of making new. I hold this idea for some reasons, which I am to explain herein.
To begin with, I believe keeping the old mates is as much important as making new ones. In fact, it is not right to select one of the options and discard the other. The reason is that humans are social beings who are consistently in need of making communication and keeping it. My friend Ahmad is a great example of the point I made. He is young man of good behavior; moreover, this characteristic of him made him one of the most beloved persons in our university. When in the university we were to select a person as our representative, he won the election because of the friendships he made in the past and continued to make until that time.
Secondly, If we cease to make new friends, this will keep us from learning new things which we usually would by knowing new people. Another example of my claim is my brother, Ali. He is a person who is not much social and he does not value social connections. He lives in a constant manner; no progress and no learning are witnessed in his life. This is why I believe people must keep the old relationships and try to make new ones as well.
To sum up, I do not agree with keeping old friends and not making new mates. As I mentioned before, this way we cannot solve our problems which are needed to be solved by other people where our old friends are not present. In addition, we will not learn new things that new people around us know. This is why I suggest everyone keep their fellows and try to find new ones as well.
