Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? “Overall, the widespread use of the internet has a mostly positive effect on life in today’s world.”

Most people agree that the internet is a great invention and nowadays it is easier to accesses. Personally, I believe that it brought us a vast facility in a lot of things that we need to do everyday. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay. To begin with, there are much information that we can get from internet, which means that with only one click we can know about a lot of things quickly and practically. A few decades ago, only radio, newspaper and television were communication sources, and they had a specific time of the day to give information like weather and traffic. Thus, internet enabled people to know about this thing more quickly. My personal experience is a compelling illustration of this. When I made plans for travel to the beach, I wanted to know how the weather would be, so I looked for this information on the internet and I soon knew if it was going to rain or shine. Moreover, I had to choose a hotel, so I found and booked it on internet. If I had been planning this trip years ago, I would certainly have had more work to do without the internet. Furthermore, the internet has made possible to learn about almost everything simply and easily. That is because you can search a subject on Google and find a lot of websites and papers about that and learn it. For instance, I have interest in learning about programming, but I am graduating in Biological Sciences and my course doesn't offer class about it. Thus, I spend part of my study time seeking on the internet materials to learn programming and this has been very productive. Therefore, even without lessons about this I am being able to learn a subject of interest, thanks to the ease use of the Internet. In conclusion, I feel strongly that the ease of use of the internet has brought great benefits to people. This is because the access of information is fast and people can learn about variety things that they don’t have in formal class.
