Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? One of the best ways that parents can help their teenage children prepare for adult life is to encourage them to take a part-time job. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Societies around the world have various ideas on part-time jobs for teenage children. Some of them think that parents should encourage their kids to find jobs and have an income; while others are against this plan. In my case, if I were demanded to choose, I would absolutely agree with the announcement in the consideration that teenagers must be persuaded by their guardians to become independent and work by themselves. I feel this way of two main perspectives among a plethora of arguments in support of this particular assertion that I will explore in the subsequent paragraphs.
First and foremost, when teenage children take part-time jobs they learn how to communicate with people. For example, while working at a coffee shop workers are required to talk to their customers, suggest products, etc. Thus, they learn how to be polite and gentle to others. Obviously, children learn how to be more responsible. Workers are obliged to get to work early and be organized; hence, eventually, they learn how to manage their time. On top of that, they become more independent. I have to confess that my opinion on this matter has been profoundly influenced by my personal experience. You see, since I was little, I have always been shy and anxious. It was hard for me to communicate with people if it was not required. A part-time job would be a great opportunity for me to learn how to express my opinions and thoughts. For this reason, I deem that if many teenagers started working, it would be easier for them to relate to each other.
Moreover, part-time jobs provide great chances. A lot of employers are interested in workers that have working experience. So, there will be more potential occupations for children. Moreover, teenagers will be able to spend their money on their personal needs, such as going out with friends. Furthermore, kids will be able to support their parents financially or save money for the future. We can look into another vivid life instance as a compelling example to explain this phenomenon. Some families, such as mine, could not afford education; therefore, I can help them and gather money by myself.
In conclusion, I ardently fortify and illustrate my stance to accentuate the fact that one of the best ways that parents can help their teenage children prepare for adult life is to encourage them to take a part-time job. The reasons for this circumstance are that they will be able to become more responsible, get social skills and learn how to manage their time.
