Most people agree that it is more significant for learners to comprehend notions and theories than it is for them to memorize factual information. Personally, I believe that the process of discovering various concepts is more essential in education rather than remembering facts. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay. To begin with, a capability for understanding perspectives is worthwhile for students because they will be able to learn facts promptly, without any hurdles. When students are acknowledged with ideas, they can implement them in real life, grasping the implicit meaning of a specific term. For instance, when I attended driving courses last year, our instructor always used diverse demonstration materials to explain to us the practical deployment of theoretical rules. I have immediately understood foundational driving techniques. It leads to the conclusion that it is crucially important not just to remember the rule, but to be aware of how the principle works because you can apply principles to practice, just as I was able to draw connections between theoretical rules of driving to practice. I believe that a similar way of studying was paramount for me to retain obtained knowledge in the long-term, being able to maintain my comprehension regardless of the situation. As a result, I still clearly remember driving theory, even though the time has passed. Furthermore, when students are taught the proficiency of understanding the origin of concepts and ideas, it directly positively impacts their intellectual development. While students are involved in the process of investigating some concepts of a particular term, their brain is creating a coherent logical chain of new materials. My personal experience is a compelling example of this. When I was a high school student, we used to have fascinating Biology lessons, during which we were taught how to structure such logical chains to understand the facts wholly. We hardly ever used books. Instead, we used our minds and the knowledge we gained to explore the topic of the lesson. Due to the fact that all people have personal outlooks and a way of thinking, we had a discussion in order to reach an appropriate conclusion. Those conversations were fruitful because all students were able to perform their thoughts, prove them and compare with the final fact. In conclusion, I strongly feel that a comprehension of concepts and ideas is a priority for students. This is because it helps them to create a mighty basis for practical extension of concepts in real life and because it is vital to get their consciousness to think logically, understanding the origin of the topic under discussion.
