Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People today spend too much time on personal enjoyment-doing things they like to do-rather than doing things they should do. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
When spending too much time on personal enjoyment shows up as a controversial topic, some research might argue that people should pay more attention to doing things that are much more important. Societies around the world have various ideas on this topic. In my case, if I were demanded to choose, I would definitely disagree with the idea that people neglect the things they have to do. I feel this way from two main perspectives among a plethora of arguments in support of this assertion that I will explore in the subsequent paragraphs.
First and foremost, everyone has responsibilities that they have to carry out even though they do not like it or do not feel like it. Obviously, no one should be obligated to do things they loathe. On top of that, the more elated we are the better our work is. I have to confess that my opinion on this matter has been profoundly influenced by my personal experience. You see when I do not have time to enjoy myself; for instance, watch movies, go out with friends, etc. I get stressed and it is even harder for me to accomplish things I have to do. For this reason, I deem that when people are not able to do things they find alluring, they feel under pressure and obtain mental distress.
Moreover, we can look into another vivid life instance as a compelling example to explain this phenomenon. If someone spends too much of their time doing things that are not important, they obviously get the consequences for their actions and they are completely responsible for them. Furthermore, other people are not the ones who should worry or judge them because it is their life and they can do whatever and however they want.
In conclusion, I ardently fortify and illustrate my stance to accentuate the fact that nobody has to do things they do not. The reason for this circumstance is that everyone has the freedom of choice and can choose what to do with their lives.
