Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible. Other young adults prefer to live with their families for a longer time. Which of these situations do you think is better? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
For each person, family has a pivotal role.Parents are the ones who care for you and teach you about the world, yet children do not stay babies for long.It comes to a point in their lives when the majority of them, as young adults, want independence from their parents. Although some people will say that it is better to live with family, I strongly believe that freedom from parents assists us to see from another point of view. There are two reasons which I will explore in the following essay.
First and foremost, we will become more responsible and self-determined as a result of our independence. Sometimes when we do not have time or mood to complete our obligations, we rely on our parents but when we are alone everything is changed. We shall take responsibility for all of our actions and become more cautious. Our budget will be spent reasonably and wisely as we will know the amount of our money. We will gain cooking skills because when famine visits us we need to make something. My sister’s example completes this reason. When she became twenty, she made decision to separate from us.Even though she has always got an assistance from our parents but living alone changed her completely. The girl who always asked for money from her parents could buy her house and car. When I look at her, I know that independence aided her in discovering who she was capable of becoming.
Second reason which compels me to favor this approach is that living alone assists us to choose our lifestyle. Each family has its own set of rules, and even if you don't want to obey them, you must since you live with them. Sometimes we have quarrels with our parents about decisions we made and we just need to live without restrictions. Besides, making our own decisions will make us confident. My nephew's example completes this reason. Her parents decided what she needed or wanted. She realized she couldn't go on like this and resolved the issue by abandoning her family. She loved her family but she was different and looking for freedom.Although her parents did not find it right in inception but day by day they adapted to her decision because they understood what makes their daughter happy.
In conclusion, independence gives opportunities to make us responsible and discover things that make us happy.
