Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Universities and colleges can provide a lot of activities to their students that can benefit them in different aspects of life. Some people think that some activities like sports or social activities are not important and should not receive as much of the financial support as the regular classes do. However, in my opinion I disagree with those people as I support these activities for reasons that I will explain in the essay below. Firstly, sports have a very significant effect on the student's life as they enhance the student's health as well as their career in the future. For example, some students may get grants or scholarships for their superiority in the sports while others can turn sports like volleyball, football, basketball and others into their source of living. Social activities should receive great attention as well as they should receive financial support. These activities can teach the students how to be kind, friendly and compassionate to others. For instance, volunteering in planting gardens may help the students' personalities to get more mature and help them to become more helpful and effective as individuals. Secondly, life isn't just about studying sciences like math or physics. Other subjects are also important. The social side for example may teach students how to communicate with others and how to work in a team so that when they grow up, they adapt easier in the new workplaces and general collectives. To summarize all the points, all activities are of great importance on different scales in life and they complete each other in a way that makes the personality of a person balanced. That's why they should receive the same emotional and financial support.
