Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Successful people try new things and take risks rather than only doing what they know how to do well.

No one can deny that there are both positive and negative aspects of trying new things. If I were forced to choose, I would definetely decide to do so. It is my firm believe that experimenting new things is beneficial for a number of reasons, and I will develop these ideas in the subsequent paragraphs. To begin with, everyone needs to practice new skills in order to grow as a profesional. I have to admit that my opinion on this matter has been profoundly influenced by my own personal experience. You see, I work as a data scientist and recently I realized that I needed to learn how to make my presentations stand out. As a consequence, I read the book "Deliver killing presentations", this book presented multiple strategies to build presentations. But reading is not enough to learn this skill, so I started applying all the leasons I learned in my job. Now I feel way more confident delivering presentations. For this reason, it is my firm believe that aquiring new skills help you develop. Secondly, there are multiple activities that we ignore we like until we try them. Drawing from my own experience, a while back, a friend of mine told me to surf with him. At the time, I have never surfed before, so I hesitated to accept the invitation, but I ended up accepting anyways. Once I did it, I completely fell in love with it. I can say that I discovered something I liked just because I dare to try it. It is certenly clear to see why everyone should try new things every so often. To sum up, trying new things help us develop as a professionals and find new interests. It is clear to see that taking risks is what I support.
