Some parent offers their school-age children money for each high grade (mark) they get in school Do you think this is a good idea? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Most people think that giving money to little children is a terrible idea because they are not enough mature to manage it. If I were forced to give my opinion about it, I would state that giving some money as a reward is an excellent idea. I feel this way mainly for two reasons which I will explain in the following paragraphs. To begin with, children need some extra motivation to focus on their studies. They are too young to understand the importance of education. Most young students do not like to go to the school, so they do not do their best to obtain good scores. Parents can change this behavior by giving some dollars to them as a reward for their effort. My personal experience is a great illustration of this. When I was in elementary school, I did not enjoy going to classes because I found them extremely bored. Thus, I usually slept in middle of the class. Because of that behavior, I got low scores in my exams. My father was really smart, he knew that I wanted a new toy car, so he told me that if I improved my scores, He would buy me a toy car. Furthermore, children who receive money from their parents have to learn how to manage it. It is probably that they waste the most part of this extra money, but with the passing of the time, they will be able to manage it in an effective way. It will be really helpful for them in their future as adults. For example, when I was a little child, my father usually gave me one dollar per month as a reward for my good grades at school. At the beginning, I did not know how to use it. Therefore, I lost most part of it by buying candies and chocolates. Fortunately, my father suggested me that I should save some money to buy other more valuable things. I followed his advice, hence I saved 50 cents every month for 2 years. At the end of that period, I was able to save twelve dollars, so I could buy a new video game. That experience has been really useful for me because it taught me that I need to save money to buy important things such a house or a car. In conclusion, I strongly believe that giving some rewards to children is a smart strategy that parents can use to motivate them. This is because children need some rewards to give their best and because children can learn how to save money.
