In many places, students must arrive very early in the morning to attend school. Some people believe that starting the school day early is the best approach to support learning, but others believe that starting the school day at a later time in the morning would be better for students. Which view do you agree with and why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

There is no shortage of opinions on whether schools should begin their activities at early hours or they should start lessons in the middle morning. If I were forced to choose, I would agree with the statement which points out that classes at school should start at a later time. I feel this way mainly for two reasons that I will explain in the subsequent paragraphs. To begin with, students will have more time to rest in the morning. We know that children need to sleep at least 10 hours. Unfortunately, it hardly ever happens because they are very reluctant to go to sleep early. As a consequence, children are extremely tired in the mornings. They do not have enough energy to be focused on their classes so they are not able to learn anything. My personal experience is a great illustration of this point. When I was in elementary school, I really enjoyed staying until late hours to watch movies with my parents. As a result, I was exhausted at school. It caused that I got terrible scores on my exams. If I had had more time to sleep, I would have gotten better grades. Secondly, students can have more time to do other activities in the early hours. Most parents enjoyed doing some sports before starting their jobs. Children could take advantage of it by going out with their parents and doing some exercise before going to school. It would bring a lot of benefits for young students because they will be more relaxed during their school hours. The experience of my little sister is a compelling illustration of this. When she was in elementary school, my parents decided that she should study at home. It had a lot of benefits for her because she could start their classes at 10 am. She used her free time in the mornings to practice soccer with my father. Because of this time that they spent together, they could develop a deep relationship. My sister was really happy with that routine. Thus, she was able to get excellent scores in her evaluations. In conclusion, I strongly believe that schools that start their activities later than others are a better option for students. This is because students have more time to sleep well and they can use that free time in the mornings to practice several sports.
