Many people have learned a foreign language in their own country; others have learned a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken. Which is better? Give the advantages of each and support your viewpoint.
It is important to learn at least a second language. Because people's lives are changed, individuals tend to travel to and visit other countries, and some prefer to move to a second country permanently. Some people prefer to learn a second language in their own country, others tend to learn it in the country they want to go to. Both have some advantages, I prefer a mixed method. Let me explore my reasons in the following paragraphs.
First, to make a reliable communication with people at least for our basic needs, we need to know their speaking language. Therefore, I think if we learn their language, before going to the second country, we can communicate with people better, and it will help us considerably. Let me use an example of myself, to illustrate it. Last year I aimed to travel to Turkey. So, I started learning some basic phrases in Turkish. It helped me a lot, although it was my first time in a foreign country, I could shop, and travel alone. Hence, I think that, learning the language of each country in our own country, can help us a lot and simplicate our journey.
On the other hand, I know that in the second country, learning its common language is happened passively and with less effort. Since we are in direct and long-term contact with native people, we would learn their language faster. For instance, my friend has learned Irish language after moving there, and she has become fluent in just one year. Therefore, learning the second language in its own country is more efficient.I
In summary, I think it is better to learn the second language in our country, to fulfill our basic needs there, and enhance it after going there in direct contact with the native people.
