DO you agree or Disagree with the following statement? Technology has made children less creative than they were in the past. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Since the dawn of industrialization with rapid development of technology, it has already given us a new way to touch the world in our daily life. Certainly, some people if asked would agree with the statement that technology had made children less creative than they were in the past while others would mention that the question depends on a vast number of factors. As far as I am concerned, I adopt a firm position that technology makes children more creative than the past because it possesses an excellent way to teach children so that they can learn lessons better and provide some new ideas to implement. First, it is important to consider technology offers new excellent ways to teach children and they can learn lessons better. Understanding the lessons is the base of creativity and children will create attractive and ingenious things. To illustrate this there was a time when I had numerous problems understanding the subject mathematics in school, but my brother can understand mathematics better by using some computer technology-based program. He taught me mathematics using that program. As a result, I passed the final exam with a good grade. Based on that experience, I thought that technology provided excellent ways to teach children so they can learn their lessons far better. Second, Technology has also provided some new ideas to implement. With the help of an internet one can learn different kinds of ideas to develop something. Similarly, children can find many alternatives which may aid them to develop new technology in their field. Drawing from my own experience, when I was a kid, I had only one traditional way to craft an Aeroplane with paper which was taught by mom. Nowadays, children find many other alternatives way to make Aeroplane by watching “YouTube “with the help of the internet and these are almost like the original Aeroplan. Because a technology that made them superior than our childhood in terms of advancement of technology. Hence for this reason, one could understand that technology would provide new ideas to implement. To wrap it up, contemplating all the previously mentioned reasons, I strongly believe that technology made children more creative, intelligent than in the past. Today technology is a part of our everyday life. It has become as important as the oxygen for us these days, we are surrounded by it, and we can’t even think of living without it.
