Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for students to understand ideas and concepts than it is for them to learn facts. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Students should learn both facts as well as concepts, which helps to enhance their mental capability along with understanding power. Personally, I believe that students would need to understand concepts rather than facts. I feel this way for two main reasons, which I will elaborate in the subsequent paragraphs. To begin with, concepts are the mother of innovation, which leads children in the depth of the course of context. When students fully comprehend concepts of subject matter, they would analyze in various perspective. From which they could get some new ideas and aspects of subject. For example, when Nikolas Tesla had analyzed direct current motor in various way, he had invented and developed alternating current. Even if he had not excellent concepts of direct current, he would have generated alternating current. This illustrates that the concepts is how much important to enhance innovation. Secondly, concepts helps to solve various problems associated to subject matter, so students get an excellent academic grade. If students knows the concepts of alternating current while they were studying in high school, they could solve complex circuits in the examination as well as they would solve many AC circuit related problems in their home as connection of wire and so on. For instance, my niece, who studied computer science and she mostly focused on the concepts of programming and she got outstanding score in her university level exam. Moreover, she can solve many computer related problems in our village and now she is one of the pioneer computer programming expert in our hometown. This elaborates the concepts helps to make an excellent results in academic sector along with it helps to solve problems related with that subject occurred in our daily life. In conclusion, concepts plays far better role than understanding facts because it leads students in the path of innovation, and because it assists to get outstanding results in academic.
