Q. Some students prefer classes with frequent discussions between the professor and the students with almost no lectures. Other students prefer classes with many lectures and almost no discussions. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Nowadays, education is an integral part of every student's life, so, in order to reap the most of the information, everyone has the preferable method how the class should be organized, and many students claim that lecture-centered classes may be the most satisfactory. However, to my point of view, students can generate more data and study even more effectively while having discussion with their professors. I can put forward some grounds for bolstering my choice. First of all, one advantage of a teacher-student relation based class is that more material is being shared and discussed. Students may benefit from this, as more background material grants them an opportunity to understand the core subject better, mainly, by asking various additional questions . I can put forward my own example to shed a light on this issue. When I am listening to different lectures, it is sometimes challenging to comprehend all the presented material, so I am having hard time with these subjects. In a discussion between a student and a teacher, my questions can be completely addressed, while during the lecture it is not tactful to interrupt the lecturer. Therefore, by discussing the subject, it is more possible for me to have a higher grade, which is one of the major necessities. Thus, thanks to frequent discussions with teacher, students can learn more effectively and can succeed in having better marks. In addition, one of the critical points that make students study is the friendly atmosphere in a class. When, during the lesson, there are several jokes made or some tricky questions asked by the teacher, it keeps the students engaged in a class all the time and assist them to remain concentrated. As an illustration, according to the statistics, students in the US prefer to take classes with a great deal of discussions and debates. These students claim that during the lecture, when everything is always manatone and on the same wave, it is a problem for them not to get bored and weary. After a long lecture, they feel exhausted, whereas, during a discussion, they are taking part in managing the class, so they are motivated to study with vigor. As you see, by having conversation with professors, students get a chance to be wholly involved in a lesson, to listen with interest and the main reason, to maintain all the information which was touched during the class. In conclusion,we can claim that although all the means of educating students are efficient in their own way, there are pretty more advantages in leading a discussion based lesson, taking into account all the reasons mentioned above.
