Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more enjoyable to have a job where you work only three days a week for long hours than to have a job where you work five days a week for shorter hours. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In this day and age people need to work as much as they are able in order to survive in this competitive world. Some people are keen on the idea that having five working days a week is more enjoyable and convenient. Others believe that working longer hours distributed within three days a week provides beneficial schedule. It is clear to me that working for five days a week in shorter hours is a more productive. I believe so as after a long working day an employee would be exhausted and he/she would need some days off in order to relax. In addition, he/she couldn’t afford himself/herself to go somewhere else after a long working day particularly, in winter as days get shorter. First of all, no doubt people nowadays try to work longer. Even, some people have second jobs in order to make money and promote their living conditions as a whole. While viewing the experience of people working for long time a day, I can see that it would be a real burden to be engaged in a three-day working schedule with much longer hours. After a while, working under such pressure would crash that very person into depression. Take me as an example. I worked for a successful company for a month. In spite of the fact that the job was not only highly paid, it also had flexible time schedule, after a while I recognized that the number of tasks was so many that I could not handle them all at a time. Due to this pressure, I was dismissed. In other words, having long working hours destroy a person’s normal pace of life making him/her to be stressed. Furthermore, even if this schedule is suitable for someone, he/she could not handle other stuff after tiresome working day. Not only would an employee be tired and exhausted, but he/she would also be deprived of some spare time to initiate something else. Suppose you are invited to a birthday party. Because of tough working schedule you are likely not to be able to attend it. Therefore, working five days a week, like most people is a more decent option. To sum up we can come to the conclusion that working for long hours three times a week provides disadvantages to an employee based on the grounds stated above.
