Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Television advertising directed towards young children (aged two to five ) should not be allowed. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
The age of young children is so critical, they desired and demand things which they are seeing whether through advertising on television or through other friends or surrounding people. that's why, personally, I strongly agree with the given statement that video advertising should not be direct towards young children. I feel this way mainly for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay. First and foremost, actually, children are too innocent until they do not watch the things they like, they do not demand frequently. But if there is advertising on audio about toddlers stuff, they frequently asked and desired those things to have with them even they do not know the actual meaning and value of those goods, because at that age their perception is not well developed to distinguish real and imaginative things. So it is better to do not show the things particularly orienting towards them. My personal experience is a compelling example of this. My neighbor has one child, she is now three years old, and she spends most of her time to watch a cartoon, during that time when she saw advertise like beautiful dol for kids, junk snack and other fast-moving bicycles, after watching those stuff she frequently asked her mother to buy for her instead she does not know how those kinds of stuff functions and use them. Consequently, I realize that such type of advertising really distracts the mind of children,and their demand increased day by day without knowing the proper meaning of things. Secondly, the age of two to five is so creative, and they catch and exploit things in their life whatever they see. If the television advertising is on the wrong track, like eating only the packing foodstuff and children become healthy and wise then children immediately start to follow that show and they avoid the healthy housemade bread and want to eat such kind of bread. For instance, my sister has one kid, he only desires to eat packing food and avoid her prepared meal to eat because he constantly saw the television advertise that to eat such kind of delicious snack and grow fast and healthy. In fact, this is not a good idea but advertisers only focus on their business and to do things like that. That's, why I am not the side of such a view and I have thought that advertisers should give concern towards the health of children and stop such kind of activities to show particularly in front of toddlers. In my conclusion, I am of the opinion that advertisers should stop advertising on television specifically focusing on young children. This is because such kind of activities makes children stubborn and they do not obey their parents for cooking and that could lead their life in unhealthy.
