Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they challenge the specific points made in the reading passage.

The passage and the audio are both about the colonization on asteroids. The author of the passage feels that asteroids are better options for colonization, than our neighboring planets for several reasons. The lecturer challenges the author's arguments by stating that the author's reasons aren't practicle. To begin with, the writer mentions that asteroids have lower gravity which makes it easy for spacecrafts to land safely. The lecturer, however, states that although low gravity makes take off and landing of spacecrafts easier, but it has its downsides too. He claims that low gravity cuases muscle and bone density, and is very risky for colonists and will cuase health problems for long term residents of asteroids. Secondly, the author mentions the valuable metals that could be found on asteroids. The article stats that colonies and those who supports them could make huge profit by minning and sending those metals to earth. The lecturer challenges this argument by bringing up the point that additonal factors such as cost of supporting colonies and costs of transfering metals is very high. He also mentions that increasing the amount of supply will affect market price of those metals and reuduces the prices considerably. Finaly, the author brings up the point that asteroids are very easy and affordable to reach. It is mentioned in the reading that some of these asteroids get very close to earth that makes it possible to travel there.. In contrast the lecturer believes that asteroids maybe easy to reach, but its hard to return from them. He adds that getting back from asteroid is challenging becuase they move away from earth's orbit.
