Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they oppose specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading and lecture are both about advantages and disadvantages of avocado. While the author contends that the proofs are sufficient, the lecturer challenges the claims made by the author. He presents three cogent explanations to invalidate each of the claims made in the reading. To begin with, the author states that the avocados contain some kind of vitamin and minerals which are good in lowering blood pressure. However, the lecturer refutes that avocados produce fats so that people would get extra weight. Furthermore, extra weight would increase the blood pressure. Secondly, the reading states that avocados are good for pregnant women because it contains folic acid which is beneficial in healthy pregnancy. Nevertheless, the lecturer refutes this argument. The speaker specifically addresses this point when he states that avocados reduce milk production. Additionally, he says that baby digestive system is not enough strong to bear with avocado. Finally, the author wraps his argument by positing that eating avocados also save a lot of money because its taste is similar to meat products and seafood. Not surprisingly, the lecture takes issue with this claim by contending that the avocados are more expensive than fruits. Also, he says that planting avocados waste our natural resources because it requires too much water to plant. In conclusion, both write and professor hold conflicting views about avocado. It’s clear that they will have trouble finding common ground on this issue.
