Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? When people succeed, it is entirely because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with their success. Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.
We live in a completely competitive world, where even one second of neglect make us fall behind our rivals. To survive this cruel world, we need hard work and endless efforts. I strongly agree that hard work is the way to success, and I feel this way because of two reasons. First of all, most people that we consider them as successful haven’t achieved it overnight. As someone famous once said that “a dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work”. Jack ma’s success story for example, is full of inspiration for those who underestimate the role of hard work towards success. He received more than a dozens of rejections from job interviews and failed his college entrance exam twice; however, today he is the richest Chinese in the world. The personal experiences of mine also illustrates the importance of hard work. About a year ago, I started to learn Korean which for most people seemed difficult; I even enrolled in Korean language classes. Two months later half of my classmates gave up and didn’t came, so a few of us left. I managed to take TOPIK exam twice, but failed both. In my third try and after working so hard to get the highest score; I finally succeeded. Second, success is a result of constant effort and hard work such as planning, setting goals, studying hard and etc. Talking about me as an example, during my freshman year at Kabul university, I used to be careless and waste time; whereas my sister who is always the hard worker and responsible one. Consequently, I failed two of my classes and she get the first grade. The next year, I made a timetable for myself and studied really hard and tirelessly, as a result I get the highest score in our class. Again, this achievement was only and only because of my hard work and not luck as the famous saying “no pain, no gain”, success is always coming from hard work. To sum up, I believe that no success is achieved over night and it requires a lot of time, planning, studying and goal setting which all requires a lot of hard work.
